Whether you’re at home, at work or on the road, he loves connecting with his listeners when they call every morning. An actor and member of Actors’ Equity Association, Walker has been in the radio business since 2003. After graduating with a BFA in Drama from NYU, he attended the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and subsequently began his career at Long Island Radio LLC, doing weekend nights and filling-in for midday host Lauren Stone on ‘BAZ’s sister station 92.9 and 96.9 WEHM. He then became News Director for the cluster of stations and worked closely with the sales team as a Copywriter. After his stint at Long island Radio, Walker went on to work for 103.9 WFAS in Westchester as well as several Connecticut stations: 96.7 The Coast in Norwalk, Y105 in Danbury and WEBE 108 in Bridgeport. Presently, Walker is thrilled to be back on the East End, hosting ‘BAZ in the Morning. In addition to working as a jock, Walker does freelance voice over work for the production company SHOWWHAT, featured on YouTube. (www.youtube.com/showwhat) He is also in the midst of recording his autobiographical monologue, From Ship to Shape, which is the story of Walker’s stint as a lead singer for Norwegian Cruise Lines and the events that followed. Dave first went on the air in 1983 at WUSB and has worked at several Long Island stations along the way. His radio resume spans from news reporter to classical music host to play-by-play broadcaster for local high schools and college sports. In 1993, Dave joined WBAZ and has been a weekend fixture ever since, serving up a recipe of your favorite music blended with just the right ingredients: a dash of news headlines, a pinch of community events, a splash of fun facts, and a generous portion of humor. Off the air, Dave devotes his time to his wife and three children.
